My goal is to help interpret trees in situations involving litigation. As an expert witness, I have to tell the truth about what I see involving trees. Sometimes this involves educating attorneys. Sometimes it involves educating judges or juries. I like to do this work, and am energized by the process. I like public speaking, and stay in practice by giving talks to garden groups of many sizes.

Because tree systems are complex, and court or arbitration situations can also be complicated, I do not want to make a short synopsis. Over the years I have assisted in a large, municipal setting, where I advised counsel about tree matters. I also have appeared in court, and arbitration, several times over the last twenty years to give expert testimony about my observations. Usually these are preceded by a written report. I can send a fee schedule to interested legal professionals.
